PRESS CONFERENCEJUNE 22ND 2014 EAST, LANSING MI 9:00PM EASTERN TIME ROBBIE ICE GETS UP AND LEAVES THE TABLE, AS TRADITION CHAMPION; CM PUNK & FLW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION? MITSUHARU MISAWA ENTER AND SIT AT THE TABLE..MISAWA'S PERSONAL TRANSLATOR INFORMS THE PRESS THAT MR MISAWA WILL BE MAKING A STATEMENT AND WILL TAKE NO QUESTIONS, HE ALSO HAS A STATEMENT TO MAKE TO THE FOREIGN PRESS AS WELL...MR MISAWA...
MISAWA: (Translated)
"Thank you to TRADITION for a spectacular evening of wrestling, and thank you Mr Thesz for a tremendous match. I know you all have questions about the aftermath of that match. It's real simple really when you think about it. It was never about the FLW World Heavyweight Championship it was being able to beat the man that is considered the best in the FLW in the center of the ring 1-2-3 I did that and I proved my point. In America you say your athletes are the best in this sport by wearing championship belts, many countries do granted but in America it really seems prevelant in this sport you are only considered the best with a title, Lou Thesz had the title he was supposibly the best I beat him This FLW World Heavyweight Championship Belt means nothing to me, because it means nothing to the FLW, so I announce I am dropping the championship as of this evening and handing it over to the FLW offices, what they do with it from this point on is no consequence to me or the promotion of TRADITION. I thank you for your time, CM Punk would also like to make a statement as well...good evening WITH THAT MISAWA GET'S UP SHAKES HANDS WITH CM PUNK AND SAYS THANK YOU AGAIN TO THE MEDIA AS HE HEADS TO SPEAK TO THE FOREIGN PRESS, PUNK WILL NO ADDRESS THE PRESS...
PUNK:
"Pretty cut and dry people, I mean I know some of you won't get it and that's ok it takes all types in this world....The FLW Titles are garbage, they shouldn't be but they are, this was the point I was trying to make with the FLW UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP but as soon as I did not follow the status qoe of FLW rules everyone just went bonkers...and I mean god bless Morishima for trying to make the US Title even relevant but in the end it won't matter, because the majority of the FLW will not think out of the box for these championships..because they don't care about them....THOSE TITLES 95% of the time should headline FLW events, but they don't and just like MR MISAWA says if the majority of the FLW dosn't give a damn about these belts why should the talent holding them. In a way Misawa is giving a second chance by having nothing to do with the title, let's see how the FLW handles the situation let's see if any thing creative happens to make the brand of FLW care about their own titles they created. Speaking of titles, AJ Styles we are going to show the FLW what it means to have history and TRADITION and the drive to actually want to be a champion for a title that means everything in Ring Warriors. By the way this title right here, the TRADITION Title has more meaningful history and matches for it then the entire FLW Championships combined! On July 4th AJ Styles and I in Ring Warriors will go to war to carve out another moment for the Ring Warriors title, as so many have done and continue to do for the TRADITION Championship, so maybe the people in charge of the FLW Titles should take notice Speaking of July 4th, Misawa talked about change coming into this match, well that begins in Japan when he makes a huge announcement that involves his plans in the very near future... #PIPEBOMB
I am wondering what the group's reaction is to this and how do we want to move forward. Is it the common opinion that the world titles are irrelevant or do they mean something to you guys?

Rob & I have already agreed to disagree on this one..I would like to see a tournament between all of our territories to declare a new champion.

Ok, it seems there are some obvious frustrations surrounding the world title situation, included the heavyweight, US, Tag Team and Women's titles.
It seems to me we have two issues to address, the first being title defenses (where, when) and what to do to fill the world title vacancy.
I'm really interested to hear what ideas everyone has. We've tried several options for the world titles and none of them have seemed to work very well. I've had private conversations with some of you and have heard some good ideas. Let's discuss this and come to a consensus, if we can.

My suggestion would be a rotating schedule..We start in HEARTLAND and end it in ACE..Like this :
OLD SCHOOL WARFARE MLW CCW FCW SCW KOMBAT RING WARRIORS WSW ACE
The Heavyweight Champ starts in Old School..The US Champ starts in MLW....The Tag Champs starts in FCW...The Cruiserweight Champ starts in KOMBAT..Then the Womens Champ starts in WSW..Assuming a successful defense the champ then moves on to the next territory..Let me know what you guys think.

I have had discussions with all of you guys and it seems we have come to a consensus.
1. The FLW Heavyweight Title will go to the winner of Heartland's World Champions Invitational Tournament. The final four for that tournament are Harley Race, Bobo Brazil, Lou Thesz and the winner of Killer Kowalski/RVD.
2. I am going to set up a rotating world title touring schedule to start in July. I really like Keith's model above so I think that's what we'll use. The rotation will move down the every month, but I will post it in the news section just so there is no confusion. I also think that if the world champion is on your roster, a promoter should be compensated for not being able to use that wrestler while he or she is touring. So, if you have a touring champ on your roster, you will have the option of claiming a free agent to take that roster spot. If your wrestler should lose the title, that wrestler will revert back to your permanent roster. At that point if you are over your roster limit you will have to release a wrestler to get to the limit. I don't think this will cause a problem, but since I haven't really discussed it with any of you, please let me know if you don't agree with this decision and we can opt out of this if necessary.
3. We are going to suspend the champions advantage rule in world title defenses for a little while. The rule was put in place to prevent numerous title changes over a short period of time, therefore, possibly devaluing a title. I don't foresee this being an issue at this point, so the rule will not be in effect during world title defenses for a trial period to see what happens. I don't know how long, it just depends on how things go. If they go well we may not reinstate it all or maybe reinstate it with some alterations.
4. A topic that came up while I was chatting with you guys over the past several days was the use of other territories' talent. I am by no means telling anyone how to run their fed or book their matches, but keep in mind all of us have a vision and in trying to attain that vision, we have certain expectations for certain wrestlers. If a promoter loans a wrestler to another territory, he expects that wrestler to be returned to him in the same shape he left. We shouldn't bury, injure, make a visiting wrestler look bad, etc. I understand that this is a game based on the roll of the dice, but you aren't necessarily ruled by them. That doesn't necessarily mean that a visiting wrestler can't lose cleanly, just try to make them look strong in doing so. If you do come up with some sort of angle, be it injury, storyline or what have you, talk to the other promoter to make sure it is ok to use their wrestler in that manner. Just a little common courtesy between promoters.
I just want to say I've really enjoyed chatting with you guys over the last several days and it made me realize I may not do it as much as I'd like. I consider you guys all my friends and will try to chat with you more often and not just about FLW.
Finally, I am aware this is just a game and it should always be fun, but I continue to take great pride in what we've done and what we continue to do. It is that pride that causes me to overreact at times when things don't necessarily go as I would like them to, so if I've said anything that has offended anyone over the last few days, I genuinely apologize. Thanks for being such a great group of guys and let's keep the dice rolling.

A suggestion was made regarding the championship touring schedule and I think we should implement it. The champions will still tour, but instead of being in a territory for the full month, the touring territory promoter can negotiate two or three dates to use the champ, giving the home territory an opportunity to also book the champ in his home territory. This will also eliminate the need for the home territory promoter to claim a free agent to supplement his roster. Also, if a promoter doesn't want to book the champion he is scheduled to have, he doesn't have to.
